I have to be honest with you - Monday Mornings are usually not my favourite thing in the world.
However, this particular Monday really perked up for me when I logged onto my Pinterest account earlier today.
During the course of this past weekend, where I returned home to Niagara to visit my family and friends (and was really quite busy wining & dining away), it appears that I had hit my 10,000 follower mark.
Seriously. 10,000. Followers. On my Pinterest.
And not only did I hit the 10,000 follower mark, I surpassed it by 337 more. In one weekend.
The news really made me want to dance, shout and cry all at once. You see, it is actually thanks to Pinterest that I am where I am today. It was because of this super popular social media phenomenon that I discovered just how creative & fashion/design/pug oriented that I am.
Silly as it sounds, Pinterest really taught me a lot about myself. And while my roommates in university would scoff at me during finals for all the time I spent pinning, when I could have been far more productive studying, I do not regret one minute of it. Sure, my grades could have been better, but I still earned my degree, and, more importantly, discovered the creative direction I wanted to take in life. When I look at my Pinterest account, I am continuously inspired by the things that I pin, whether they be the new 'It' bag I am currently coveting, or a super hardcore workout regiment that I am dying to master in time for bikini season. I use Pinterest to file all my favourite recipes, as well as plan for the day I say I do.
